Bethesda Tabernacle is blessed to have a team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Jason Barrett
Senior Pastor, Co-Founder
Pastor Jason Barrett, as co-founder, was appointed to serve as Bethesda Tabernacle's Senior Pastor in April 2018. He has faithfully served in various ministerial roles over the years, planted multiple churches and first ordained in 1993 at the age of 18. He received formal christian education at Mountain Mission and Liberty University, multiple units of Clinical Pastoral Education and holds several national board certifications. Pastor Barrett served on the mission field to nearly 10 countries and continues to work home missions attending to the needs of marginalized populations all while serving on the board of multiple not-for-profits.
The attributes that best describe Pastor Barrett are anointed preaching, leadership development and spiritual counseling. He is living his life's dream by leading a welcoming body of believers like Bethesda Tabernacle where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. He takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending time in devotion, prayer and consecration. Pastor Barrett is an anointed singer, songwriter and recording artist.
Jason Morgan
Administrative Pastor, Chairperson, Co-Founder
Pastor Jason Morgan, as a co-founder, was appointed to serve as Chairman of the board of directors for the organization and a Pastor for Bethesda Tabernacle. Previous ministerial roles include leading youth, singing with praise & worship teams, community outreach, and counseling. Pastor Morgan graduated from Eastern KY University with a degree in Biological & Chemical Sciences and received masters in both education and leadership. He has written 501(c)(3) nonprofit exemptions, grants, published, and an experienced educational presenter.
Attributes and experiences that describe Pastor Morgan, as a leader, are providing educational opportunities in leadership, discipleship, providing counseling, worship and preaching. With great passion, Pastor Morgan assists the leading of Bethesda Tabernacle, in bridging the gap with marginalized groups through sound biblical teaching and worship experience. Pastor Morgan can be found working behind the scenes leading the organization functions, praying, singing on the praise & worship team, studying the Word of God, and discipling others.
Joey Martin
Purpose Pastor
Pastor Joey is an anointed preacher, singer and musician. He has a heart for people and at any given hour can be found providing support to members of the congregation and those whom he is discipling. He is devoted to the mission and vision of Bethesda.
As a respected member of the leadership team, he contributes support to the ministry going above and beyond the call to ensure the needs of our leaders and membership are met.
Pastor Joey not only serves our community as a minister, but also 15 years as a highly sought after Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer. Joey is a graduate of John A. Gupton College of Mortuary. He is well respected in the funeral industry and often requested by name to perform services for funeral homes and families across the Commonwealth.

Amanda Hamilton
Recovery Minister
Sister Amanda has a devout passion to reach those who are where she once was. Celebrating nearly 7 years in recovery, she leads a thriving and growing recovery ministry. She's been an ordained Minister since 2019.
Whether you are recovering or struggling, Amanda welcomes you with open arms. Not only is Amanda a Certified Recovery Specialist and Community Health Worker, she has life experience that is most compelling to individuals and familes that are faced with the disease of addiction.
Amanda stated "while she loves helping others fight their addiction, her main goal is to lead them to God".
Daniel Rodriguez
Pastor, Hispanic Ministries
Pastor Rodriguez transitioned to Lexington from Grand Rapids Michigan with a passion to reach the Hispanic community in the Fayette County Metro area.
He and his family are dedicated to God and HIS service. Bethesda's Hispanic ministry is a fast growing work and we are excited about what God is doing in this season.
Pastor Rodriguez has owned and operated a very successful painting company for over 20 years.
